My Journey:
I started drinking Numanus in February 2024, and it’s a great addition to my already clean health. With no change to my diet or exercise regimen, I lost 9 lbs. Now I experienced great regular bowel movements and less stress. For the last 2 years, I have been trying to get my blood pressure down, and now my numbers are great. I have run the Bank of America full and half marathon, and the Lifetime Half marathon. I would recommend Numanus for better overall health.
Our Water:
Being a certified water consultant, I see firsthand the challenges that the United States faces in providing clean water. PFAS amounts are the focus in 2024.
About PFAS:
PFAS stands for Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances. These are a group of man-made chemicals that have been widely used in industrial processes and consumer products since the 1940s.
Key characteristics of PFAS:
-
Resistant to heat, oil, water, and stains: These properties make them useful in products like non-stick cookware, stain-resistant fabrics, and firefighting foams.
-
Persistence in the environment: PFAS don’t break down easily, which is why they’re often called “forever chemicals.”
-
Bioaccumulative: They can build up in the body over time.
-
Potential health risks: Some PFAS have been linked to various health issues, including cancer, liver damage, and reproductive problems.
Where can you find PFAS?
-
Water: PFAS can contaminate water sources through industrial discharges, landfill leachate, and firefighting foam.
-
Food: PFAS can migrate into food from packaging, cookware, and contaminated water used in agriculture.
-
Air: PFAS can be released into the air through industrial emissions and the use of firefighting foams.
